Machine Mastery Classes Are Included When You Purchase Your BERNINA From Susan Marie's





When you purchase a BERNINA from Susan Marie's, your machine is inspected and prepared for you.  When you purchase a BERNINA from Susan Marie's, Mastery Classes (learning to use your machine classes) are also provided.  Check the calendar for those classes and schedule your classes when you purchase your machine, or give Susan Marie's a call when you are ready.

Susan Marie's usually posts a three month class calendar online.  Class descriptions usually include costs and a list of supplies needed.  If you register at Susan Marie's, you will also receive that information in a newsletter and additional updates through email.

Scheduling a Class at Susan Marie's

Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.  You are enrolled in a class at Susan Marie's once you have registered and payment has been received for the class.  Registration for classes may be done over the phone with a credit card, or in person with any of the usual forms of payment.  The class fee covers the cost of instruction only, unless otherwise noted.  Supply lists for each class will be available upon registration.  Please remember to pick up your supply list as soon as possible.

Susan Marie's classroom provides ample working space for each class participant.  Class size is maintained in order to ensure that each class participant will be able to receive personal help from the class instructor during the class session.  If a class is scheduled before or after regular store hours, the store will open 15 minutes before class time to accomodate those attending the class.

Susan Marie's has a link to BERNINA allowing Susan Marie's to receive direct broadcasts and presentations from BERNINA and BERNINA sponsored events.

You will need to bring your machine (in good working order, and with the manual) with you to class unless otherwise noted.  We sometimes have a machine available to borrow, but please reserve it ahead of time to prevent any confusion.  You should also bring your rotary cutter and mat, scissors, seam ripper, thread, bobbins, straight pins, pin cushion, and paper and pen to take notes.  Please put your name on your personal supplies.  Everyone's rulers, mats, and cutters look the same and it will help us to determine to whom they belong should they get left behind.






Cancelling a Class or A Class is Cancelled






All classes have a minimum and a maximum number of students.  If you registered for a class, and the minimum number of students has not been reached, you will be contacted by phone and a full refund will be issued to you.  If you have to cancel a class, to receive a full refund, your cancellation notice must be received by Susan Marie's at least one week before class.  (Example: the 3rd of the month would be the last day to cancel a class that is scheduled to take place on the 10th of the month.)  Books, fabric and threads cannot be returned.








Our Classroom Routine


1. Please allow 10 - 15 minutes to set up your machine prior to the start of class

2. Please turn off your cell phones during the class session. 

3. Please come to class prepared, having all of the supplies and equipment necessary for the class you enrolled in.

4. Bring a surge protector to class















Private Lessons Available at Susan Maries

If you would like to have a private lesson with any of Susan Marie's teachers, just set up a time with that teacher.  There is a fee for a private lesson.
